Not much to report...same ol' same ol'. I had a very challenging week, trying to keep on track. Not sure what the deal was. I drank an entire 2ltr of coke in one weekend! V told a friend that I would have the Coke finished by Monday and I was completely astonished that she would say that. Well, she knows me too well! Getting back on track this week. It's amazing after eating relatively clean for the week affects your body. I ate a couple of not so healthy meals and now I am paying for it! I don't feel so well!
Thanks for checking in!

"For God so Loved Me, You that He gave His only begotten Son that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting LIFE." John 3:16
I am continually reminded how much God loves me! Of course He loved me enough to send His Son to die on the cross, to rise again and to give me eternal life. For me that's the easiest concept to grasp. What gets me is that He loved me so much that He always has my best interest at the top of his priority list. He cares that I am in a good church, He cares that I have a godly husband to lead me, He cared that I was raised in a godly home and so much more! I am so thankfu to be his child and that He called me at young age and that when I was older and not walking in His way, He reminded me of my commitment. I am so thankful that He loves me enough to put wonderful godly friends in my life that will speak truth to me when I need it.
Thank you Lord for all that you do! I am blessed to be called your Child!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Week one "Eating Clean"
First of all, I have to give a big "Woo-hoo" to my sweet hubby! I told me that he wanted me to make sure that I had everything that I need to be successful with this change in eating habits. He has NEVER, I mean NEVER critized my weight gain or loss. He has always been very encouraging to me, just really wanting me to be healthy. He's NEVER made me feel bad for eating a certain food, etc. I am so thankful that he as stuck by me with love and encouragement through my whole struggle with weight gain. He's the best!
Okay, I can honestly say that "Eating Clean" has been relatively easy. I had already made some serious changes-only using Olive Oil to cook with, only using frozen vegetables, eating more whole grains, etc. I was amazed at how I still had room to grow.
The biggest help to me was having the items available. I made sure that I had all my fresh veggies and fruit washed ready to eat. Boiled some chicken ahead of time for sandwhiches. Taking a little time in the beginining of the week for prep helped out tremendously.
Have a super week! Off to start week 2!

Weigh-In #6, I think...
I think that this is weigh-in #6. I didn't check the blog before I started posting. Got on the scale yesterday with much apprehension. It has been "that time of the month." I was a little concerned about what my weight was going to be. In the past, I have gained as much as 5lbs during that time.
So, with my trepidation, I slowly put each foot on the scale. Watched the zeros going back in forth to get my weight. Slowing down... there it was... a big fat... 202.0! Yippee Skippee! I lost 1.5lbs.

Journal, recipe book, and how to book
The cookbook is super great! The recipes are delicious, easy to follow, and really are not very expensive.
Lastly, the "How to Book, " this book gives you a general overview of the principals of "eating clean" as well as the background of Tosca Reno. It's a great jumping off point.
Right now, all these books are 20% off at Barnes and Noble. Got mine at the B&N at the Shops at Gridlock, I mean Greenridge! :)
